Blood Red Throne and Faetooth are coming to Spálené Poříčí!
13.05.2026
The Basinfirefest line-up is expanding with the addition of the Norwegian death metal machine Blood Red Throne and the American doom/sludge female trio Faetooth! Furthermore, both bands will be performing in Spálené Poříčí for the very first time. Due to logistical reasons, death/thrashers Dieth will unfortunately not be appearing at the festival.
While Norway is the cradle of black metal, Blood Red Throne has spent over a quarter-century proving that the land of fjords can produce world-class, meaty death metal too. Founded in 1998 by Daniel "Død" Olaisen (ex-Satyricon), the band has since become synonymous with relentless groove and surgical precision. Forget about symphonic flourishes or atmospheric interludes—Blood Red Throne bets on the raw power of the riff, cutting through the air like a freshly sharpened guillotine.
When you think of sunny Los Angeles, you usually expect polished rock’n’roll or breezy pop, but Faetooth is proof that dark and heavy flowers bloom even under the palm trees. This quartet defines themselves as "doomgaze," and you'd be hard-pressed to find a more accurate description. Their music is a fascinating collision between the crushing weight of sludge metal and the ethereal fragility of shoegaze. Imagine massive, down-tuned riffs flowing like lava, while dreamlike vocals hover above, simultaneously soothing and unsettling you.
